Ponsson declared unfit for remainder of the UK Round
After making his comeback from injury at Donington, the Frenchman will miss Sunday’s action
French rider Christophe Ponsson (Gil Motor Sport-Yamaha) will miss the remainder of the Prosecco DOC UK Round at Donington Park after being declared unfit with right shoulder functional impairment. Ponsson was making his return from an injury he sustained at Misano in the Emilia-Romagna Round and took part in every session up to Race 1 but will miss Sunday’s Warm Up, Tissot Superpole Race and Race 2 due to his injury.
Ponsson underwent surgery between rounds on a broken right collarbone after he highsided in Race 1 at Misano. Ponsson qualified in 24th place in Saturday’s Tissot Superpole session but retired from the race after completing 13 of 23 laps, and the Frenchman will now miss the remainder of the weekend with right shoulder functional impairment.
